President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, approved the appointment of a new management team for the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, pending Senate confirmation.

In the new team,  Dr Musa Aliyu was named Chairman / Chief Executive Officer, ICPC; while Mr Clifford Oparaodu was named Secretary to the commission.

The President also approved the pre-end of tenure leave request of the outgoing ICPC Chairman, Prof. Bolaji Owosanoye, which begins on November 4, 2023, ahead of the expiration of his tenure on February 3, 2024.

The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, said in a statement on Tuesday that Tinubu acted “in exercise of the powers conferred on the President as established in Section 3(6) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.”https://live.primis-amp.tech/content/video/amp/videoIframe.php?s=113240#amp=1
